Terms of Service

These terms form a contract between you and Better Home Hub Ltd ("Better Home Hub", "we", "us") when you use betterhomehub.co.uk. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We are registered in England and Wales. Our company number and registered office will appear here before public launch. You can contact us at hello@betterhomehub.co.uk.

We are a matchmaking service. You describe a home job; our AI ranks local tradespeople from public sources and you choose which ones can contact you. We are not a tradesperson, contractor, builder, electrician, plumber, or agent for any of those. We do not perform any work ourselves and we do not employ the tradespeople you find through us.

Using Better Home Hub is free for homeowners. We never ask homeowners for payment or payment card details. Tradespeople pay us a per-lead fee, charged after you select them — that has no effect on what they charge you for the work.

If no tradesperson responds within 24 hours of you submitting a job, we will send you their phone numbers free of charge so you can call them yourself.

To use the service you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Live in, or own property in, the United Kingdom
• Give us accurate information about the job
• Not use the service to harass, defame, or defraud anyone — including tradespeople
• Not submit jobs you do not actually intend to follow through on

We can suspend or close your account at our reasonable discretion if you breach these terms, or if we are required to do so by law.

We rank tradespeople using publicly available data (location, reviews, trade category). We do not vet, accredit, certify, supervise, employ, or insure them. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that any tradesperson you engage is suitable, qualified, insured and trustworthy, and you contract directly with them — not with us.

Where applicable, you should check Gas Safe, NICEIC, FENSA or other relevant trade body registers before engaging a tradesperson.

We use AI models to classify your job, estimate complexity, and suggest tradespeople. AI can make mistakes. Our shortlist is a starting point, not professional advice. You should always confirm details with the tradesperson before any work begins.

By using Better Home Hub you agree we may email you for service reasons — magic-link sign-in, lead status updates, and notices about your account. These are not marketing and you cannot opt out of them while your account is open.

Marketing emails are opt-in only. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under English law. Subject to that:

• We are not liable for the work, conduct, pricing, fitness, qualifications, timekeeping, insurance or behaviour of any tradesperson you find through the site.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business or loss of opportunity.
• Our total liability for everything related to your use of the site is limited to £100, since the service is free to you.

The Better Home Hub name, logo, site design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the site for its intended purpose but you may not scrape, copy, mirror or republish it without written permission.

We may add, remove or change features at any time. If we make a material change to these terms we will email registered users and update the "last updated" date.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where they live.
