What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We use the smallest possible set of cookies — only what we need to keep the service running.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase). Strictly necessary — the site cannot function without it. | 1 year |
| sb-*-auth-token.0 / .1 | Chunked auth token (the auth token can exceed one cookie's size limit). | 1 year |
We do not currently use any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. If we add any in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent before they load.
Your cookie choice
We ask before setting anything optional. Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage under bhh.consent, for the sole purpose of not asking again on every page. Keeping a record of a decision you made is itself strictly necessary, so it needs no consent of its own.
You can change your answer whenever you like:
If we add a new category of cookie, your previous answer stops counting and we ask again rather than assuming it covers the new thing.
How to control cookies
You can clear cookies, or block them entirely, in your browser's settings. If you block the cookies above you will not be able to sign in to Better Home Hub.
For more about cookies generally, the ICO has a good guide at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/.
